The Story Behind Svasa Designs: My Journey from Passion to Brand

Introduction

Since childhood, I’ve been captivated by design, colours, and embroidery. While others dreaded needlework classes, I eagerly embraced them, even helping friends with their projects. My passion for needlework extended beyond the classroom, where I learned techniques from a skilled neighbour and experimented with fabrics. This curiosity grew, leading me to refine my skills through workshops and formal design education.

My Hobby

What began as a simple hobby turned into a calling. I realised I wanted to turn my love for embroidery and creative blouse designs into something bigger. Starting with a small team of women, I taught them everything I knew about the craft. Each day, I found joy in bringing new designs to life, focusing on blending traditional craftsmanship with modern aesthetics.

The Real Svasa designs

The turning point for Svasa Designs came when we had the opportunity to work with Fab India, a prestigious brand that elevated our visibility. This experience was invaluable, teaching me not only about design but also how to manage a successful business. After this milestone, I travelled to Delhi to further immerse myself in the fashion world, gaining inspiration from India’s rich textile heritage.

Returning with renewed vision, I started an embellishment unit, and Svasa began to grow. Our handcrafted blouses, known for their intricate embroidery and vibrant fabrics, became our signature. Today, Svasa Designs is synonymous with creativity, blending traditional Indian craftsmanship with contemporary fashion. Each piece is a reflection of my journey and dedication to the art of needlework.

Finally Arrived..!

Looking back, I’m proud of how far Svasa has come. What started as a small passion project has blossomed into a brand cherished by women who value fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. Svasa is more than just a business, it’s a reflection of my love for design and my belief in the beauty and meaning behind handcrafted fashion.
